Know how many idols of deities should we keep in our house

According to our scriptures, every household should have a puja room. There are also certain rules inscribed in our scriptures that should be followed while building or maintaining the puja room.

- One should never keep three idols or portraits of Lord Ganesha. Every puja room should have an idol of Ganesha but one should never keep three idols as it is considered inauspicious.

- One should never keep two shivlings in the puja room and the shivlings that you keep should be shaped like a thumb.

- Never keep three idols of any Goddess in the puja room.
